“Ask not what you can do for your country. Ask what’s for lunch!”

Orson Welles

outside-locationNestled in a truly wonderful picturesque rural setting, yet close to the historic towns of Tetbury, Cirencester and Malmesbury, we think the Wiltshire and Gloucester border is a really special place to live. We are perfectly placed for you to enjoy lunch and a walk – bring the children, bring the dogs, bring the horses, everyone’s welcome! Join us for a delectable dining experience, for a special occasion, or at one of our exciting event nights or simply just for a cosy drink – choose from our extensive, hand-picked selection of International wines and bubbles from Charles’s cellar, local and speciality beers and lagers or stimulate your secret passion with one of our 32 gins…

Whether you arrive on horseback, by bike, in a classic car, by balloon or helicopter, in your Jimmy Choos or in wellies, there will always be a warm, relaxed welcome. Everyone loves a traditional inn and we are no exception – in Summer you will find us on our sun trap terrace or playing in our three acre garden or munching some delectable seasonal treat from our Al Fresco Kitchen cooked on our BIG GREEN EGGS and in Winter we might feasibly be tucked up by the cosy log fire, imbibing in a glass of Spiced Mulled Wine… what’s not to like!
