pub-3At The Vine Tree we are completely passionate about our enjoyment and understanding of food, wine, beer and different spirits in equal measures (yes, I know it shows!!) and very importantly consider ourselves to be both a drinking and dining inn – not necessarily in that order!!

Charlie and I were chuffed to death to be awarded “The Wine Pub of the Year for Great Britain” in 2008 by The Good Pub Guide and still remain extremely diligent with our tastings!!

dining-2We are also justifiably rather proud of our extremely interesting range of gins, spirits, real ales, beers, refreshing lagers and over 40 wines served by the glass – we also have a wide selection of half bottles, offer certain wines by the carafe or magnum and delectably serve chilled champagnes and a good selection of Bubbles by the glass too – Mmmmm!

We enjoy a healthy relationship with the surrounding local farmers, gamekeepers and producers who help keep our kitchen interestingly stocked with their seasonal produce.

Our delicious, carefully planned freshly cooked dishes will suit any appetite and any occasion – whether you fancy a quick light bite, a leisurely lunch, a simple supper, a romantic dinner, a family night out, want to celebrate a special occasion, a wedding or a Black Tie Ball. You can eat with us 7 days a week, all year round in a relaxed stylish environment.

Our younger visitors get the same special treatment, eating from the same scrumptious menu with a smaller meal for a smaller price.


Weekend & Sunday specials

dining-3Lazy, luscious weekends are perfect for treating yourself! On Sundays we offer a tempting lunch menu which always includes at least 4 different roasts, usually Roast Sirloin of Beef (literally from our neighbours next door farm), Loin of Gloucestershire ‘Old Spot’ Pork with Crackling and home made Apple Sauce, Free-Range Organic Breast of Chicken wrapped in Sweet Cured Wiltshire Bacon accompanied by Creamy Bread Sauce or Roast Rack of Cotswold Lamb with Mint and Apple Jelly – in addition, we always have a good selection of Vegetarian and Fresh Fish and Seafood Dishes on the Sunday Menu – our Vegetarian Nut Roast is so scrumptious that it has become a firm favourite with non-vegetarians too!

We specialise in catering to all tastes and preferences so please do ask a member of our team if you are allergic to anything or would prefer an ingredient omitted from a certain dish and if it is at all possible to do, then we will – we cook all of our food fresh to order so we should be able to accommodate your wishes!
